ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਬੜੀ ਲੰਮੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਸੀ ਇਸ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (-ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਹੈ । ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ (ਇਹ ਨਾਮ) ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਫੋਰ ਵਿਚ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧। ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! (ਸਦਾ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪੀਆ ਕਰ । (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜੇ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ (ਦਾ ਮੂਲ), ਇਹੀ ਹੈ (ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ, ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੀਊਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਢੰਗ । ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ (ਇਹ) ਦਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ-ਹੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਉਸ (ਦੇ) ਹੀ (ਨਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਰਾਧਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩। ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ! ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ (ਹੁਣ) ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, (ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ) ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ ।੪।੧੦।

English Translation SORAT’H, FIFTH MEHL: I have searched and searched and searched, and found that the Lord’s Name is the most sublime reality. Contemplating it for even an instant, sins are erased; the Gurmukh is carried across and saved. || 1 || Drink in the sublime essence of the Lord’s Name, O man of spiritual wisdom. Listening to the Ambrosial Words of the Holy Saints, the mind finds absolute fulfillment and satisfaction. || Pause || Liberation, pleasures, and the true way of life are obtained from the Lord, the Giver of all peace. The Perfect Lord, the Architect of Destiny, blesses His slave with the gift of devotional worship. || 2 || Hear with your ears, and sing with your tongue, and meditate within your heart on Him. The Lord and Master is all-powerful, the Cause of causes; without Him, there is nothing at all. || 3 || By great good fortune, I have obtained the jewel of human life; have mercy on me, O Merciful Lord. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਭਾਦਰੋਂ ਦੇ ਘੁੰਮੇ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਾਟਕੇ ਲੰਘਣ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਅੱਸੂ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਉਛਾਲਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਤੜਫਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਬੜੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਚਿੱਤ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਮੇਲ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਧਾਣ ਵਿਚ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗੀ ਹਾਂ। ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੁਖ-ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਇਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਚੱਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਹ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਅਰਦਾਸਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ- ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖ। ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਖਸਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸੁਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਸੂ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।੮।

English Translation BAARAH MAAHAA ~ THE TWELVE MONTHS: MAAJH, FIFTH MEHL, FOURTH HOUSE: ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: In the month of Assu, my love for the Lord overwhelms me. How can I go and meet the Lord? My mind and body are so thirsty for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. Won’t someone please come and lead me to him, O my mother. The Saints are the helpers of the Lord’s lovers; I fall and touch their feet. Without God, how can I find peace? There is nowhere else to go. Those who have tasted the sublime essence of His Love, remain satisfied and fulfilled. They renounce their selfishness and conceit, and they pray, “God, please attach me to the hem of Your robe.” Those whom the Husband Lord has united with Himself, shall not be separated from Him again. Without God, there is no other at all. Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the Lord.
